Prague Meridian

Have you noticed the Prague Meridian (14°25´17˝) before?😉
It is a metal stripe, mounted in the paving of the Old Town square.
The meridian indicates the place, where the shadow of the former Marian column used to show the noon 🌞. There is an inscription in Czech and Latin language, placed there in 1990’s, saying that time used to be measured according to the meridian:
MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO WHICH TIME IN PRAGUE WAS DETERMINED 🌞
MERIDIANUS QUO OLIM TEMPUS PRAGENSE DIRIGEBATUR
