The Exhibition of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award 2018 begins at the Hall of the National Gallery Prague. Jury nominated five visual artists from the Czech art scene under the age of 35. This year’s nominated artists are Alžběta Bačíková, Lukáš Hofmann, Tomáš Kajánek, Kateřina Olivová and Adéla Součková. Their works will be exhibited until January 6, 2019, the name of the laureate will be announced on December 17. In parallel with the exhibition of the finalists, the Veletržní Palace will present the project “Fragile tools” by the participation of a Romanian artist and choreographer Alexandra Pirici.
Every year, the Jindrich Chalupecky Company team tries to adapt the format of the exhibition to the specifics and needs of current finalists. This year’s exhibition is far from static presentation of completed works. It is shorter but more intensive than previous years.
